Vedder View Gardens is proud to have been selected as the site of what is now known as the Legion Memorial Gardens, a designated section which honours Canadian and Allied veterans, their spouses and all active members of the Royal Canadian Legion.

The flat, park-like setting is easily accessible from a paved roadway on all sides and features concrete walkways leading up to a central court which surrounds a granite cenotaph.

On D-Day, (Jun. 6) and Remembrance Day, (Nov. 11) the appropriate national flag is placed at the interment space of each veteran, with each flag remaining in place for the duration of the day. On D-Day, or on the weekend closest to D-Day, a Service of Remembrance is conducted by Royal Canadian Legion Vedder Golden Branch 280 (Chilliwack). The public's attendance is welcomed.
